This week has been pretty adventurous and it's only Thursday! You have to love sweet summertime. :)
Starbucks?
Starbucks?
Nope.. a bowl full of hearty turkey chili.
Mister Rooster is drinking some delicious Diet Root Beer and nibbling on a Georgia peach.

Salad w/ red bell pepper, raisins,
Parmesan cheese, turkey burger, sauerkraut
My mom and I went for a 22 mile bike ride on Tuesday. We found this pretty ocean view.

When we got back we were craving: Crisper's summer salad + citrus herb dressing. The candied pecans in this salad are my favorite.

Yesterday I went on a 4 hour canoe ride on the Weeki Wachee River.
My dad, brother, and I switched off every hour for the kayak.
Kayaking is the BEST arm workout.
Lunch on the river: un-pictured Spicy Italian Subways & banana
The whole river is basically a spring-- crystal clear and 72 degrees. Brrr!
This morning's breakfast consisted of a protein powder pancake:
2 scoops soy protein powder, 2 egg whites, cinnamon,
Smucker's syrup, iced coffee, & a granny smith
That's all for today friends! <3 HBB

Hey girl! Oh my goodness I'm so jealous of all the amazing outdoor shenanigans you've been getting into - and that view - how GORGEOUS! I love kayaking, and definitely agree - it is quite the arm workout, but totally worth it. That river looks amazing as well - crystal clear water isn't something you see much of around here.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the rooster also, haha!
Have a wonderful Thursday!
Love,
Meg
Is it weird that I did not know "diet root beer" existed? I thought they only had regular! haha. Anyway, I am going to have to try that.
ReplyDeleteI am new to your blog and I love it!

I've got to agree with Meg on this one...I am totally jealous of all your fun outdoor activities! Gahhh I would love to be able to do that everyday. Do you mind if I come and live with you? Haha, I'm only half kidding though. ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great day girl!
Wow great outdoor activities, especially the water fun.
ReplyDeletewhat amazing views you get! I am dying to visit CA one day!
ReplyDeleteYour starbucks mug is so cute- I use mine all the time but it's a completely different shape! I've never seen one like yours before!
have you abandoned cream soda for root beer?.. :( (though that means more cream soda for ME, lol)
enjoy your weekend x
That canoe ride looks fantastic! Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was more of an outdoor person. Love the starbucks mug and the iced coffee yummy.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're definitely enjoying the lovely sun! And omg, you're getting me everytime with that iced coffee. It looks so good! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your Friday!

ps - You might want to try taking your food pictures WITHOUT the flash on the camera. I learned that about a month into blogging and found that my pictures came out so much better!
I love to kayak! But yes your arms are def sore the next day(or five in my case haha!). I think you deserve to be a bit lazy--your one girl on the move =) Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'd love to hear the orange juice incident... Sounds like something I would do! ;) And you're more than welcome for the no-flash tip. Try it out and see if it works for you as well. And if you ever get a new camera, I TOTALLY recommend the cannon powershot. Seriously the best camera I've ever had. My mom, my aunt, and my grandma all got one after seeing how great mine is. :)
